Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the services available at https://mockx.org (the "Service"), operated by MOCKX ("MOCKX", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
MOCKX is a real-time simulated trading exchange provided for educational and entertainment purposes. All markets on the Service settle in simulated currency. The Service does not offer real-money trading, gambling, wagering, or prizes of monetary value. Nothing on the Service constitutes investment, financial, or trading advice, and simulated results are not indicative of performance in any real market. Simulated balances, results, and leaderboard positions have no monetary value, and we reserve the right to adjust or reset them where reasonably necessary to preserve the competitive integrity of the Service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
4. Accounts
- Registration is performed through Google sign-in, and you select a public username that serves as your identity within the Service.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may maintain only one account. Creating additional accounts to circumvent plan features or usage limits is prohibited.
- We reserve the right to reclaim, change, or remove usernames that impersonate another person or entity, infringe the rights of others, or are otherwise objectionable.
5. Acceptable Use
In connection with the Service, you agree not to:
- exploit bugs, errors, or unintended behavior; suspected issues should be reported to support@mockx.org;
- use unauthorized automation, bots, or scripted trading against the Service;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or other users' access to it;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its systems; or
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
The Service is currently offered free of charge during its beta period. We may introduce paid subscription tiers, in which case the applicable pricing, billing cycle, cancellation, and refund terms will be disclosed at the point of purchase and will form part of these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the MOCKX name, logo, software, design, and all related content, is owned by MOCKX and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or otherwise exploit any portion of the Service, and you may not misrepresent the Service or its content as your own.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or where reasonably necessary to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is under active development and is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and features of the Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MOCKX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
